purpose of this Web site is to help you adjust your sails to better utilize my
books with today’s rapidly changing technology. As you know, by the time a book
is written, tested, and published, certain material often becomes dated, and
activities may no longer work the same way they did when we wrote them. The
purpose of this Web site is to bring you updated materials, activities, answer
sheets, and announcements that can help make my books more valuable to your
classes.
I have been writing textbooks for Course
Technology and Cengage Learning for over 20 years. I was the first author in
Course Technology’s newly established networking division back in 1991 when we
published my “Hands-on Novell NetWare 3.12” text. At that time Novell was the
big player in networking and my books pioneered the concept of using hands-on
activities and virtual machines to help students learn and apply new concepts.
